Black Moon in Pisces - Lunar Eclipse 17 September 2024
Dear Ed,
I was trying to downplay tonight's eclipse, but couldn't because of the huge energy swirls going on. I don't call it an eclipse, Ed, because an eclipse means something disappearing. In fact that is not true, as the moon will still be visible. Only, it will be not the moon we're used to seeing, but a black moon.
Here’s a painting of a Black Moon in 1918, by Samuel Butler:
Back in the day, when my Granddad was in places with no city lights, and none of the thug programming we are exposed to now, lunar eclipses were intensely sacred experiences. Promises made then were said to hold for eternity. It was considered the opening of a sacred window into eternity. They would have dreams of their eternal selves and things outside the ring of daily existence.
Granddad said the animals would come out of their isolation into open places to witness the phenomenon too. One time a monkey family arrived at the family home on the settlement in South India. They were not the local monkeys, they had travelled from somewhere to be there that day. It was a very significant lunar eclipse and Granddad said even in the two weeks preceding the (British) Govt. had put out warnings about it officially. The asylums were full of people going into trance.
There were these nuns the family were close to, in a place nearby. The mother superior herself started losing sense of where she was and started describing past lives. The cook came home and asked Granddad to go help.
When Granddad reached, he found about twenty nuns, in this very isolated place, all in a state. All of them remembering past lives, crying, sobbing! The funniest thing was, they were all remembering a common lifetime in which they'd been together, just like now, in a convent. That older convent was in Sri Lanka just across the Palk Strait close there, and they'd all gotten raped and murdered.
Now they'd all come back together, this side of the ocean. Granddad offered his sympathies and congratulations and asked why then were some of them screaming, tearing their hair, etc. He was told the older convent was Buddhist.
They were Christian now. It was just too much for them to take! They had remade their lives together, very similar to before, but now they were Christian. Some of them couldn't handle it at all.
Granddad said that's the sort of thing that happens with the Black Moon in Pisces. Things come out that can be hard to deal with.
I remembered it this morning when I realized that's exactly the sort of eclipse that's happening today.
Ed, in modern astrology people don't really understand Pisces. The fake human Pisceans are flaky types. Dreamy and ready to explore fantastical scenarios and such. Slithery as snakes, slimy as snails and crawly as centipedes. 😲 Did I just say that! Yes I did. That's the fakes, Ed. As soon as you start relying on them, they give you the slip. But they talk like they're so high minded and intellectual and reliable etc.
Of the five major psychopaths I've known closely, Ed, three were Piscean. That's a LOT, Ed. Fake Pisceans are capable of this double life, double personality, Ed, while being so very inscrutable and cool about it. They behave like they have a conscience but they do don't.
But I have had two great Pisceans in my life too, Ed. My wonderful dad, Patrick and our son, Gabriel.
Through them, Ed, I experience the glory of that section of our universe called the Sign of the Fish. When I experience that section of the sky, Ed, I feel that fluidity of consciousness,a sort of trembling; like jelly trembling, when the tray it’s on is shaking.
It's that restless anticipation of a consciousness shift, the sensitivity in that flow moment, so much like a fish would experience constantly in the waters of the ocean, that I associate with Pisces. Pisceans experience the flow of the universe much closer than the rest of us, I feel, which is why, spiritually, emotionally, they're always moving.
They are ruled by Neptune the Planet symbolized as the Trident holding Greek God of the Sea.
To me, that imagery represents the great Unconscious or Sleeping Consciousness arising into consciousness for some reason.
It is that happening that lifts a soul into a new paradigm, and Pieces is that part of the heavens where energies transcend to begin the new cycle of rotation.
With the Black Moon happening in Pisces, Ed, the energy experienced is something like women going through a period, or giving birth, when the energy field tightens and concentrates inward to the center of the field. In a culture where we're being constantly pushed to expend energy outwards, this can cause a lot of tension and conflict. But the release and easing do follow and a new cycle begins.
All livings being on earth experience that inward pull and concentration of energy inwards into the unconscious dark field in the lead-up to an eclipse and then in the weeks of expansion after.
This happens every lunar eclipse but it's not as unpredictable and drastic as when it happens in Pisces. Pisces is not your average pass through bus stop. It's where you spin fast, so fast you go upward instead of forward and find yourself catapulted into the next paradigm on your life path.
The Black Moon here means energy coming in from your sleeping unconscious to take you through that leap coming up.
Who knows what that will be, Ed, but I can give you a general possible idea based on where Pisces was in the heavens at the time of birth. Ie. The Houses the sky is divided into. This can be found by doing a birth chart online. There are tons of websites online which give you that. Here's just one: https://justastrologythings.com/pages/chart/
Black Moon in Pisces in Each House
Black Moon in Pisces in the 1st House
Your struggles with physical illness and attempts to grow and become better in the arts or sports or such will be greatly relieved as you come in touch with revelations to either or subconscious or conscious mind that show you why your energy was blocked up.
You're likely to find resentment against yourself, anger against yourself being released. You've been beating yourself up about something you're not responsible for and it's been holding you back.
You're going to love yourself so much more and your capacity for happiness is going to increase and God is going to fill it up.
Black Moon in Pisces in the 2nd House
You've been struggling to hold on to energy. You help others a lot but it means you never really have what you need when you're running low. You never seen to get the support you give others, when you need it. You've been soldiering on doing the right thing.
But now your deep soul is going to show you what's been keeping you in this paradigm. You're going to see yourself no longer as someone who shares things with others and carries others. You're going to shift into a new role. The role of a true cultivator of energy. Where your role in other's lives is of a teacher and not an enabler.
Maybe this means you're going to expect people to actually show some improvement as you support them.
Whatever it is, you're rising into your Teacher and Leader phase, instead of unconditional feeder and enabler.
Black Moon in Pisces in the 3rd House
You've been struggling with lies and deception all around you. Your personal life has been a struggle to keep clean and even in track of, because of all the conflicting layers of what's happening. You've been struggling with what to even believe anymore. You've had crises of faith as everything you've ever believed has come into question.
You've been looking for an anchor, a truth you can hold on to as you negotiate your way through this maze.
That's what the Black Moon is going to enable. Something from your deep soul consciousness will arise into your subconscious or conscious mind, a truth that might be unassuming simple and small, yet so true that you can hold on to it in the worst storms and never go off track.
Black Moon in Pisces in the 4th House
'Mother' has been a perplexing, but magical thing all your life. But you've had some sort of holding back in your energy flow linked to instability in energy flow between you and your (real, birth) mother, or your role as a mother.
When a person has an energy block in the mother zone, they find it hard to complete projects. They lose interest near the finishing line. It's because there's a block where the mother energy should be pouring in.
Sometimes it's not even of this lifetime but inherited from a previous one.
The core of the issue is, you feel betrayed because life didn't go as you thought it would in those beautiful moments when you were in bliss in your Mama's arms. You thought everything was going to be that wonderful. But instead you got hell upon hell and you feel it must be that your Mama has left your hand and made you go through this hell world alone on your own. You're blocking her energy out because you're pissed off she's not solving your problems, wiping your face, cooking for you, tucking you to bed.
The Black Moon is going to stimulate a vision in you, a vision of the power to actually show you how true eternal Mother's life energy is actually doing all those things you expect her to, just not in the way you expect her to.
She is a divine force that calls the winds, calls the tides of the ocean, calls the water in all living beings. We imagine her only manifestation was our earthly mother. But that is just one face of hers.
I won't say more, you will discover yourself.
Black Moon in Pisces in the 5th House
Mad rushes this way and that have been something of a feature of your life lately. You've felt like things slipped out of your grip that you should've caught. You've felt tired of the daily hustle just keeping life as you know it going. You're running very low on optimism right now.
In many ways you're scraping the bottom of the barrel.
The Black Moon is going to reveal a room in your consciousness with a magnetism that will recharge you like you cannot imagine happening to you right now. You're going to go far, very very far.
It's always something to do with what we're most passionate about that can revive a person like that. So it's most likely you're going to experience an outflow of primal native soul passion, at the root of your very life purpose arising out into your subconscious and conscious mind.
Black Moon in Pisces in the 6th House
No one told you life would be so hard. You've given all your heart to everything you did, and all your love to those you've loved. But you've found it like banging your head against an unyielding rock. You've felt God doesn't even hear your prayers, let alone answer you.
You've often thought it's some strange karmic thing why you can never find a peaceful happy life.
The Black Moon is going to bring up from the ocean depths of your consciousness the sunken ship your hopes were once pinned to. When that ship sunk, your soul refused to abandon that wreck. Because that's how you love when you love.
But your sunken ship is about to rise.
"Like a child from the womb,
Like a ghost from the tomb," to quote P.B.Shelley.
You're going to see how God has taken the clay that got made out of the rubble of old destroyed dreams, and has started shaping a magical home of heart for you. One that will last forever.
You already know this is happening, but you cannot really believe it, because you've been disappointed so bad so many times.
The time of magic has come.
Black Moon in Pisces in the 7th House
You have felt like your stock value has dropped bad in recent times. You've been wringing your hands trying to find a way out of what already looks like a downward spiral to you. You have zero actual support in terms of energy because you've only recently extricated yourself from a chokehold of a situation.
You look at yourself and think, "All this potential, all I could've done, all I can do, all I can be," what's it all for, if it's to go wasted like this?"
But nothing has been wasted on you.
You're about to have an awakening to parts of you you've never met before, great eternal divine warrior you. Sharp as the sword of Damocles, strong as the rock of Gibraltar; that's you.
You have been kept hidden by God, for a time to come. Under the cover of God's hand you have been cultivated and grown,a phenomenon that will stun all those who thought you were done for.
If ever the Phoenix represented someone, the Phoenix being that bird that builds itself back from its own ashes; it's you.
You're about to find THAT ONE THING, the key to all your potential that's blocked up. The trickle will start, already has, and it will grow into mighty unstoppable river of Life. You will give and support Life to many.
Black Moon in Pisces in the 8th House
Hello Spirit Warrior. I'm sure you're in tatters as usual, having fought night and day just to be where you are.
It's like the winds of the universe are against you, sapping your energy, telling you to give up.
You ought to though, look at that divine spark inside you that never goes out.
The Black Moon is about to catch that spark and blow it into a flame. Very soon you'll be able to cook on that flame and then it's going to get bigger and bigger.
You're never going to be again in the situation you find yourself today. That's a guarantee.
It was all about the reason that time coming for that spark to get going.
This reminds me of my favorite hymn in school.
It only takes a spark, to get a fire going.
And soon all those around, can warm up in its glowing.
That's how it is with God's love, once you've experienced it.
You spread his love to everyone.
You want to pass it on.
Black Moon in Pisces in the 9th House
The sea gulls, the crows, the owls and all the most raucous of birds have been circling you in your high tower by the sea, screeching, calling, screaming. You've been restless in your soul not able to fully grasp what's happening. All you've known is that some deep and drastic change is coming.
You're something of a natural leader and you have people looking at you for cues on how to deal with situations. You've unnerved recently because of the energy instability.
If you take two steps one way, you've had to stop and then go two steps the other way. This has kept you feeling stalled and like you can't move in any direction at all.
The Black Moon is going to zap the magnetic hold your mind has been in. You're going to see things that you couldn't see before.
Like lightning breaks positively charged polluted air, releasing the negative ions that make the air fresh, so this Black Moon is going to clear up the atmosphere in your consciousness; like an electric storm makes everything fresh again.
You've been held in place by people's expectations of you. This has taken away your sense of freedom as you truly want not to hurt anyone else. But you're going to find a layer of truth revealed by your soul,in which you will find the true map of your life is very different to the one you've had in your mind.
Your watering holes were not where you were getting refreshed from. Your bed was not where you were getting rest. Your home was not where you were accepted and loved. Everything was jumbled up.
With your new map beginning to form, you will begin to understand those dead sure seagulls outside your tower. You'll understand those owls hooting so surely about you on your night walk.
Suddenly the dark will make sense, and you will move on from here, step by step by your own soul light, now shining out right.
Black Moon in Pisces in the 10th House
You know how in the movies they show merchants at the end of the day gleefully counting their coins, then putting them in a bag tied around the waist as they set off back home? Invariably the dude gets into trouble on the way home and gets robbed or even murdered. The movies show through the window, the family of the man waiting for him late into the evening.
Banks were invented to end this storyline. Because when your money is in the bank, you can go home after earning a lot of money, without fear of robbers.
Unfortunately, you have not learned the concept of an energy bank till now. Whatever you had with you to give, you gave, the rest got robbed, and reached home barely alive. Energetically speaking. You've never had more than you needed, or even enough.
The Black Moon is going to awaken the great Warrior you, the one who has seen a million treasures across all terrain to where it belongs. The One who sets things right in divine order. The One who has the inborn order on the heavens inside to balance out and heal people, places, atmospheres, lives.
You are all this, but have been blocked for some reason. Perhaps many demons sensing your spiritual power have tried to suppress your ever bringing to consciousness your sleeping power.
It's too late though. The megalith that you are from ancient days, has started arising from the depths of the ocean.
Powers for which there are no names yet, those, you have.
Black Moon in Pisces in the 11th House
I knew this woman Ed, when I was growing up. She'd had a fall as a young woman and hurt her head. For some reason, maybe to keep her brain in place, the doctors had put a zinc plate into her head. You could feel the rim of it over her eyebrows. She was on heavy duty painkillers, barbiturates, for life. She bordered on dementia most of her life after the accident, both long term and short term memory lapses.
Everyone took it for granted, Ed. People expected it would never be any different.
Then came a time when she was dying and suddenly, Ed, suddenly her memory became clear, her mind became clear. She began to describe to her children their birth fathers in detail (each of the seven had a different father to the complete shock of the children) . She described the various fathers in detail, Ed, the weather around the time she met them and why she got attracted to them and so on. It was too much information for the children.
But I was amazed, Ed, because that was such a drastic demonstration of how subconscious memory never gets wiped out and energy changes in the body can make us tap into that memory and bring it out. On her deathbed that woman felt the need to tell her children about their real parentage. So her memory opened up. They went rushing to verify what she'd spoken of, Ed. They found it was exactly as she said.
The Black Moon in Pisces in the 11th house is very simply the release of subconscious and unconscious memory into the conscious mind.
Nothing's ever going to be the same again. It could feel like an upheaval but it's all going according to plan. This is a time of great deliverance. A time to follow one's own instinct. A time to not doubt oneself anymore.
Your crazy suppositions are in fact real. You're seeing right. For the first time in your life, you are actually sane.
Black Moon in Pisces in the 12th House
You remember that play of Shakespeare's Ed? Twelfth Night? It was all about people impersonating other people for all kinds of reasons. Somehow or the other, through all that chaos, people fall in love, run away and get married without dying, an innocent man is saved from murder and everyone finds their happiness in the end, other than the villain.
A person with Pisces in the 12th house has had to deal with deception and chaos all his or her life. It's like living through an earthquake every two years. High emotional drama, horrific drains, losses, spectacular recoveries and finally the endless search for what will make these fluctuations stop.
That key is about to be revealed. That key is something about the true or spiritual identity of this person. In the light of that realisation, the truth under the characters around will show like never before.
It's going to be a whole new life.
————-
The effect of this Black Moon is a deep and lasting one.
Before I finish, Ed, I want to tell you what happened with the nuns. Granddad was there quite perplexed about how to deal with the situation. Imagine about twenty women all remembering several lifetimes, but especially one which they shared in common, all the same time, wringing out deep emotions, deep traumas (they'd been raped and murdered at their previous convent) all together at the same time.
Just two or three women sitting together going through that, Ed... My God, I wouldn't want to be around. It's shattering. Imagine twenty.
They were all from Ireland and in those days every letter took weeks to reach.
My Granddad decided to find some herb around to sedate them. He goes out into the hillside behind the convent. There was this little spring fed rock pool from which they got water. He sees this Datura plant, Ed. It had grown out from under a rock on the side of the pool and grown to maybe 18 feet high. This was unusual even then for a Datura plant. It seemed to have reached that height only recently, because as Granddad was looking at it, right in front of him, the top leaves seemed to catch the wind and before Granddad knew what was happening, the wind blew it straight down tipping into the lake.
The next morning it was still tipping over into water, waving it's leaves, flowers, seeds into the pool. The pool was now one potent if diluted form of Datura medicine. Granddad said to God, "Thou hast taken care of thine own. I will go to mine now."
Datura is a most powerful medicine Ed, for people struggling to deal with things arising out of their subconscious or unconscious memory. It's available as Stramonium 30,200, 1M and so on in homeopathic shops. The plant itself extracted into oil and massaged in is a powerful dose enough. But I have had tea of a tiny pinch of the leaf - a dose enough for serious pain relief and all night deep sleep. I wrote more about it here.
These were places with those kinds of winds, Ed.
Granddad went on to tell me that every Black Moon (now called lunar eclipse), a woman on our settlement whose dad was Irish, used to go into trance and give a speech in the language of the fairies and elves. Only the children could understand it directly, but everyone who heard would be transfixed by the pure Spirit of God pouring through into their midst through her. Seldom did Granddad not be moved to tears as she spoke.
He told me that as she spoke this language that the people around had in their unconscious but not conscious mind, despite not understanding the words, in each would arise a dream for themselves, something they had not dared to dream of before, or had not the resources to imagine in their limited mind. That dream would give them new direction, new hope, new wings to fly towards that.
I feel that's the magic of the Black Moon, Ed.
Now I leave you with an actual non-photoshopped photo of Pisceans in 1280.
